Beyond optical wavelengths: Time-resolved spectroscopy
of surface dynamics with EUV and XUV radiation

Recent progress in the generation of ultrashort light pulses beyond optical wavelengths opens the perspective to access new dynamical phenomena in solids and at surfaces. The symposium is intended to elucidate the prospects for applications of time-resolved EUV and XUV spectroscopy to study surface dynamics, ultrafast material science and attosecond physics in solids. Invited talks will provide an overview on the current status of experiments based on the generation of high harmonics and attosecond pulses, femtosecond time slicing, and Free Electron Laser sources. The meeting brings together researchers in the field of ultrafast surface dynamics and shall serve as a discussion forum to outline future research and frontiers in the field.

Contributed oral presentations are welcome as well as poster presentations in an evening session. We invite you to bring your latest results on surface dynamics for presentation in a stimulating scientific environment and look forward to welcome you at the DPG spring meeting in Berlin.
