4-21 Femtosecond application laboratories
Project coordinator(s): M. Schnürer, F. Noack, M. Kalashnikov
Overview
Scientists from universities, research institutions or industry are invited to submit proposals. Proposals should be made informally in written form (not more than two pages) stating the scientific goal of the proposed project, the desired collaboration partners at the MBI, the laser systems, other equipment to be provided by the MBI, the specific contribution the guest scientist plans to make and the requirements in terms of lab space and media as well as a prefered time schedule. Long and short term collaborations can be arranged by bilateral or multilateral agreement on a cost sharing basis. To a limited extent the MBI will be able to support (under the activity "Laserlab Europe" of the RI - Programme of the European Union) travel and accommodation expenses for eligible researchers who are nationals of one of the EU member states or Associated States. Upon request the MBI will provide information on the special regulations and review procedures governing this kind of access. Alternatively, joint applications for grants to national, binational or international funding agencies will be highly welcome. Before any specific proposal is submitted it is advisable to contact the MBI staff either by phone, fax or email or come for an exploratory visit to Berlin-Adlershof. The MBI hosts guest scientists since 1996. If you are interested, please, get in touch with one of the scientists listed under the link "contact" or directly to:
