Photodynamics in doped Helium nanodroplets
in collaboration with F. Stienkemeier, Universität Freiburg

The photoexcitation and photoionisation dynamics of alkali metal doped Helium nanodroplets is studied. This is a joint efford between the Physicalisches Institut, Universität Freiburg and the Max-Born-Institut. During the measurements the Helium cluster source is moved from Freiburg to Berlin, while detection and the laser equipment is provided by the MBI.

Subjects studied:

Fundamental excitations of Helium droplets after excitation of alkali dopants (K, Cs) on the surface of the droplets
Wavepacket dynamics of K2 and K3 attached to the He droplets
Formation of exciplexes (K*(He)n and Rb*He)
Ultracold alkali clusters formed on the droplets surface
