High-average-power, 50-fs parametric amplifier front-end at 1.55 μm

HNLF: highly nonlinear fiber; Pulse shaper: “4f” shaper based on a liquid crystal spatial light modulator; Bulk stretcher: N-SF57 rod; bulk compressor: fused silica rod; CFBG/circ.: nonlinearly chirped fiber Bragg grating stretcher with fiber circulator.

 

 
     
   
 
SH-FROG retrieved temporal intensity and phase (a) and spectral intensity and phase (b) of the recompressed pump pulses. The pulse duration at FWHM is 1.1 ps. The post-pulse at a delay of 9 ps causes the fringes in the spectrum. The inset shows the near field beam profile after the compressor.
