How to get to the MBI

The Max Born-Institut (Max-Born Straße 2A) is located in "Berlin-Adlershof., City for Science, Technology and Media". This site is located in the South-West of Berlin, only a few kilometers away from the airport Berlin-Schönefeld.

This document contains instructions how to reach the MBI:

By car

  1. From the city center (east) follow the direction Schönefeld / Grünau (you may also follow the signs to airport Schönefeld or to the autobahn Dresden). This brings you via the "Treptowers" (two major highrises on the river Spree) onto B96a (Adlergestell). Watch for the S-Bahn station Schöneweide as a landmark and follow the Adlergestell for about another 2 km until you reach the S-Bahn station Adlershof. Turn right directly before that station and pass under the bridge onto Rudower Chaussee. After 1200 meters make a right turn onto Max-Born-Straße opposite of the Johann von Neumann Haus of the Humboldt University. Follow the the Max-Born-Straße for about 200 m until the Johann-Hittorf-Straße. Turn left and find after 30 m the North entrance of the MBI on your left. Typically you should be able to find a parking space there.
  2. From the citiy center (west) Adlershof is reached by the city motorway (direction Dresden). You leave the motorway at the exit Adlershof. Immediately after passing under the motorway bridge turn left onto the Hermann-Dörner-Allee and thenagain right onto the Rudower-Chaussee. Here are allready in "Berlin Adlershof, City for Science, Technology and Media". After about 100 m turn left onto Schwarzschildstraße, follow this to its end and turn right onto Johann-Hittorf-Straße. Find there after about 30 m the North entrance of the MBI on your right. Typically you should be able to find a parking space there.
  3. Coming from Schönefeld, take B96a towards the center (Mitte) and turn left at S-Bahn station Adlershof onto Rudower Chaussee. Then follow instructions given in 1.
