In 1954 Max Born received the Nobel Prize in Physics - together with Walther Bothe - "for his fundamental research in quantum mechanics, especially for his statistical interpretation of the wavefunction". The 11th December 2004 is the 50th anniversary of Max Borns Nobel Lecture in Stockholm and at the same day we also remember his 122nd birthday.
The Max Born Institute will commemorate this event on
Friday and Saturday 10th and 11th December 2004
with two days in the honor of Max Born. We will celebrate it with a scientific colloquium (Friday) and an exhibition in the presence of Max Born's son, Prof. Gustav Born, FRS and eminent scientists form the area of optics and atomic and molecular physics.
The events will take place in the Max Born Hall of the MBI, Max-Born-Straße 2A, 12 489 Berlin-Adlershof, Germany
