The photoexcitation and photoionisation dynamics of alkali metal doped
Helium nanodroplets is studied. This is a joint efford between the
Physicalisches Institut, Universität Freiburg and the Max-Born-Institut.
During the measurements the Helium
cluster source is moved from Freiburg to Berlin, while detection
and the laser equipment is provided by the MBI.
Subjects studied:
 |
Fundamental excitations of Helium droplets
after excitation of alkali dopants (K, Cs) on the surface
of the droplets |
 |
Wavepacket dynamics
of K2 and K3 attached to the He
droplets |
 |
Formation of exciplexes
(K*(He)n and Rb*He) |
 |
Ultracold alkali
clusters formed on the droplets surface |
